How We Help

We offer professional telepsychiatry services to help with the following conditions

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders include a variety of conditions such as generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, health anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Those conditions are often comorbid with depression or ADHD.

OCD for example is a common disorder but often remains underdiagnosed and untreated, or treated inadequately. This can lead to progression to a disabling and treatment resistant condition.

WHO placed OCD among 10 most disabling conditions, next to hypertension and cancer. OCD is incredibly complex, chronic, and with waxing and waning course through a person’s life.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder affects up to 3% of a population. According to diagnostic manuals there are several types of bipolar disorder. The most well-known types are type I and type II. Mania is a distinctive feature of bipolar type I.

Bipolar type II presents predominantly with episodes of depression whilst episodes of elevated mood are a lot milder than in mania, they are called hypomania.

Mood stabilising medications are pillar of treatment of bipolar disorder.

Depression

Depression is a common condition with a multitude of aetiological factors and many comorbidities.

Uncomplicated depression is treated in primary care settings. Psychiatrists tend to see people with severe and complex presentations of depression, not responding to standard antidepressants.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessment

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a common condition in children and persists in about 60% of people into adulthood. Like with OCD even mild to moderate severity of symptoms can cause a lot of suffering and can impact on functioning.

There are a lot of misconception about ADHD. Adult patients very rarely present with hyperactive behaviour. Hyperactivity and restlessness take place in a person's mind and this is truly one of the most disabling symptom. There are many facets to ADHD other than just inattention and impulsivity reduced mood, low energy, and sleep problems.

ADHD is often comorbid with depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and substance use disorder.
